Freud and Jung are famous for there analysis on the conscious and unconscious mind. They are viewed as the found fathers of modern psychology. They have shaped the way we think about psychology and how it has developed ever since. However, they both had some key points in which they differed from opinion.

Point 1: conscious mind. According to Freud the conscious mind takes an active role in suppressing our desires. Jung saw this as a more negotiating phase in which the consciousness works more together with our emotions.

Point 2: unconscious mind. Jung saw this as driven by sex and aggression. Jung saw this as influenced by livid experiences.

Point 3: dreams. According to Freud these are derived from our deepest desires. Jung saw this differently and interpreted that dreams can take shape by different parts of life.

Point 4: Transference. Freud saw this in need of hierarchical relationships while Jung saw mutual leveled relationships.

Point 5: practicing. Jung only saw his patients twice a week while Freud tended to see his patients almost every day.
